  • SUPPLY CHAIN POLICY

As World Medicine Group of Companies, we work to leave a healthy and happy world to new generations by placing the sustainability approach at the center of our way of doing business. We adopt a perspective that is not only limited to our own operations but also includes our suppliers. A production that respects the environment, employees and society is very important to us and we encourage our suppliers to develop a similar approach.

The Supply Chain Policy defines the environmental, social and ethical responsibilities we expect all of our global suppliers of goods and services to the World Medicine Group to comply with. We expect our suppliers to comply with the policy and communicate the policy to their employees and their supply chains. All our global supplier contracts include the policy and we select our suppliers from organizations that comply with the policy.

We respect and support international human rights principles, including the International Labor Organization (ILO) Conventions, the United Nations Global Compact, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and national laws.

Child Labor

Our suppliers must comply with the legal minimum age limit and must not employ workers under the age of 15 (14 in some developing countries) within the scope specified in Article 138 of the International Labor Organization Convention. Young workers over the minimum age must be protected from any factors that may harm their social, physical and emotional development and health in the work environment, and their education must not be hindered.

Forced Labor

Employment must be on a voluntary basis. We expect our suppliers not to use forced labour, physical, sexual, psychological or verbal abuse under any circumstances, and not to engage in illegal practices such as withholding original identity documents.

Fair and Equal Treatment

As World Medicine; We aim to work with suppliers who value and respect their employees, do not tolerate any form of harassment and mistreatment, and provide equal opportunities to their employees.
We expect our suppliers not to discriminate in recruitment and work environment based on gender, ethnicity, religion, race, nationality, age, physical capacity, pregnancy, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership, political opinion and similar issues.

Right to Organize and Collective Bargaining

The right of all employees to organize and bargain collectively within the framework of legal regulations must be respected. There should be no pressure or discrimination on employees who exercise their right to organize and collective bargaining.

Working Hours and Wages

There should be no discrimination in remuneration. Legal leave, compensation, overtime pay and all other benefits must be provided within the framework of legal requirements. Working hours and overtime must comply with laws and industry standards.

Safe and Clean Work Environment

World Medicine suppliers are responsible for providing their employees with a safe, healthy and hygienic working environment. In order to prevent work-related accidents and diseases and minimize risks, it is necessary to carry out necessary checks and maintenance, follow safety procedures and provide protective equipment. In this context, necessary occupational health and safety training should be given; Training, accidents and precautions taken against them should be recorded. Applications must comply with applicable national laws and regulations.

Environmental Protection

We expect World Medicine suppliers to comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. Necessary environmental permits must be obtained and compliance with the law must be ensured. Suppliers should work to minimize their consumption, carbon and air emissions, natural resource use and waste. Storage, transportation and use of chemicals must comply with the rules so as not to harm the environment. Disposal of waste and discharge of wastewater must be carried out within the framework of environmental obligations and limits.
